About the event

Note: You DO NOT have to have a full team to join. If you only have a few players in an age group, they can combine with another club so that your players have the opportunity to experience the game while you build your club.

After an excellent time at our first meet and greet where we witness some truly standout footballing skills and passionate and committed coaching, we are excited for another Play and Meet day where we get accustomed to the standards and the environment that Little League TT will foster among all participating teams and at all games.  With the New Ball approach the players get maximum ball contact and playing time. Subs on the fly and our rule of every player getting at least 40% playing time means that everyone has an opportunity to develop their game and coaches are NOT driven by the score line, which in this age group is nowhere near as important and each child learning to grasp the game.  One game per team means that you’re not stuck at a tournament all day but parents can bring their child for one hour and get on with their weekend. It also means that players are able to learn and adapt in one setting, against the same group of players, rather than the constant change of opposition and pace.  We had teams combine their players so that they had the numbers and it was great to see the collaboration of coaches and gave players on both teams the opportunity to play alongside players with different strengths.  All in all it was a great display of football and an excellent display of coaches coming together for the development of football at the youngest level!  Get in touch if you would like to be part of the next game day! We are having it on Saturday 11 March as we got feedback that Saturdays suit some teams better.  Our Play and Meet games are a way to ease teams into the format of the league and gain momentum for something that hasn’t been done at this age group before, which we want to be a sustainable and long-term feature in Trinidad football.

N.B. You do not have to have all of your registration documents in to participate in the Play & Meet Game Days. If you would like to be part of the league in the long term, you will need to start the registration process.
