Volunteer Roles

Volunteers are an important part of Little League TT.

In order for the league to run to the highest standards, volunteers are needed. Those volunteers are enthusiastic and dedicated coaches and parents who want to help create the very best environment for the development of their player(s) full potential in football and sport as a whole.

Each team on the Little League Roster must have a Safety and Conduct Officer, First Responder and Admin Officer that is present at all games. 

There are also volunteer positions for Little League TT where you would be working directly with the President of Little League TT and other stakeholders of the league. 

Team Volunteer Positions

These are the volunteer positions that every team must ​have present at every game. The presence of these volunteers will ensure that the games run smoothly, fairly and safely. When registering, you must submit the name and contact detail of each volunteer. Below are the roles and responsibilities of each volunteer.

All volunteers must have a valid TTPS Certificate of Character and the necessary certification to fulfil their role.

Safety and Conduct Officer 

  • Completes their own safety checks of field and players before every Little League TT game.

  • Coordinates and encourages reporting of any safeguarding concerns.

  • Collects and reports suggestions from their team for any improvement of safety standards.

  • Informs about, promotes and encourages adherence to our Codes of Conduct amoung their team's players, coaches, parents and spectators.

  • All Safety Officers must have a Safeguarding Training Certificate and have read ALL Codes of Conduct thoroughly.

  • Each team will need at least two named Safety and Conduct Officers and at least one MUST be present at every game. Proof of Certificate must be submitted on registration.

First Responder

  • In charge of the team First Aid Kit and ensuring it has everything required in it.

  • Is fully prepared to respond to any injury or accident that occurs during Little League TT games. 

  • Knows the numbers and details of medical professionals, emergency personnel and/or emergency contacts needed in case of any incident that occurs during a Little League TT game.

  • Is aware and ensures reporting of any medical condition or injury sustained by players on their team that can impact their game.

  • All First Responders must have a First Aid and Concussion Training Certificate.

  • Each team will need at least two named First Responders and at least one MUST be present at every game. Proof of Certificates must be submitted on registration.

Admin Officer

  • Ensures all forms, certificates and proofs are submitted to the Little League TT for registration.

  • Ensures all players participating in games are registered, meet the age requirements and have proof of age. 

  • Informs the Little League TT information officer on any changes of volunteers, coaches or players. 

  • Ensures all fees are paid in a timely manner. 

  • Updates team coach on any changes to the games or the Little League TT on whole. 

League Volunteer Positions

The following volunteer positions are for Little League TT on the whole. These positions are great for any parents who are passionate about building a healthy, competitive environment for their child to play in, which meets international standards. Volunteers can also be those who want experience in sports to add to their CV. 

All volunteers must have a valid TTPS Certificate of Character and the necessary certification to fulfil their role.

Safety Officer

  • Completes an official safety check of field and players before every Little League TT game.

  • Coordinates and encourages reporting of any safeguarding concerns from all teams.

  • Collects and reports suggestions from all teams for any improvement of safety standards.

  • Informs about, promotes and encourages adherence to our Codes of Conduct among all teams' players, coaches, parents and spectators.

  • All Safety Officers must have a Safeguarding Training Certificate and be very familiar with ALL Codes of Conduct.

  • Coordinates Safety and Conduct officers from all teams, keeps them up to date on changes and reminds them regularly of safety and conduct standards.

Treasurer

  • Collects and keeps track of fee payments from teams in a timely and organised manner.

  • Keeps track of cost and revenue and ensures that Little League TT is never running at a loss.

  • Makes suggestions for increases/decreases in fees where necessary. 

  • Manages the Little League TT bank account, invoices, receipts and any payment of costs and fees.

Admin and Information Officer

  • Creates and keeps up to date records of the information for all teams, players and volunteers, including data on team and player participation in games.

  • Sources and requests rental of good-quality fields for Little League TT games.

  • In charge of registering teams and players and ensuring that all information and documentation necessary is gathered for all teams and players.

  • Updates the website with team information and any other updates necessary.

Coach & Player Coordinator

  • Reaches out to coaches of teams to encourage participation in Little League TT.

  • Is point of call for any questions from teams on the roster or wanting to join. 

  • Updates teams on the schedule, time, location and format of Little League TT games. 

  • Helps match any players without a team to coaches in their area.

  • Keeps an up to date roster and match schedule. 

  • Creates the monthly game flier and keeps the @littleleaguett Instagram up to date.
